Student Positions
The Green Building Research Center, which is affiliated with CBE, is developing an Internet-based Ecological Building Dashboard (EBD) that will provide users with historical and real-time performance metrics for UC Berkeley campus buildings. We are currently looking for an intern to work on this project, User Interface and Information Designer. For more information, please view the detailed description (PDF).
Visiting Scholars Program
Our Center occasionally hosts visiting scholars from other institutions. Visiting scholars may be faculty, graduate students, or building industry professionals who plan to conduct research on topics that are complementary to CBE's research program. Visiting scholars interact with CBE faculty and staff, and contribute to the diversity of our research program.
Candidates for this program should have an advanced degree in architecture, engineering, human factors, or a related field, or be currently enrolled in such a degree program. Candidates must be able to demonstrate fluency in spoken and written English.
Other desirable qualifications include experience or knowledge of commercial building procurement, design and operation; the building sciences and/or HVAC industry; and/or research related to occupant satisfaction and productivity in buildings. It is also desirable for candidates to have research experience in a university setting.
