9/18/2012: Clif Bar home takes 2012 Livable Buildings Award

The new headquarters of Clif Bar & Company, a California-based maker of organic foods and drinks for people on the go, has been recognized as the winner of the 2012 Livable Buildings Award by the University of California, Berkeley’s Center for the Built Environment (CBE).

12/15/11: Green and healthful buildings recognized by annual awards

Three “green” buildings that provide healthful and productive workplaces have been recognized as recipients of the Livable Buildings Awards for 2011 by the Center for the Built Environment (CBE). The top award goes to the new headquarters for Canada-based Enermodal Engineering. Also recognized as honorable mentions were the Kresge Foundation Headquarters and the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences.

12/17/10: 2010 Livable Building awards salute UCSF, Kavli projects

UC San Francisco's 654 Minnesota Street was chosen the top award winner for its transformation of the shell of a former manufacturing plant into environmentally and user friendly offices. The Livable Buildings honorable mention, the Kavli Institute, goes to the design team of EHDD Architecture.

12/22/09: Center announces most Livable Buildings for 2009

Chartwell School was chosen the top award winner for its overall design quality, and for its goal of achieving net-zero annual electricity consumption. Livable Building honorable mentions also go to the design teams of the Cohos Evamy Toronto Studio and the renovated William P. Robinson Building at Norfolk State University.
