Design, Construction and Compliance
Incorporating innovative technologies in buildings often results in innovative
adjustments to conventional building design, construction and operation. As a
result of research and experimentation, CBE has compiled a series of design
guidelines addressing parameters of UFAD systems that are relevant to decisions
taken at a project's design stage; and highlighted a number of construction
issues facilitating an efficient, cost-effective installation.
In addition, as with all new technologies, information is given regarding the
special attention that should be paid to compliance with existing standards and
codes regulating the building industry, such as those from ASHRAE relating to
HVAC systems and applications.
This section of the UFAD website presents information relevant to the design
phases, construction phases, relevant standards and
codes, and additional background on task/ambient
conditioning (TAC) systems. |
